The proportion and existing form of ruthenium dioxide (RuO2) in the coating are the key factors determining its electrocatalytic activity and stability.     Titanium electrode seawater electrolysis anti fouling treatment technology

     

    Electrolytic anti fouling includes electrolytic seawater anti fouling, electrolytic copper anode, electrolytic aluminum anode, and sometimes several methods are used simultaneously to produce synergistic effects. Currently, the anodes used mainly include diamond silver alloy, iron coated lead oxide, platinum/titanium, titanium coated ruthenium dioxide, titanium coated iridium oxide, titanium coated platinum, ruthenium oxide, electrolytic copper anode generates copper ions, electrolytic aluminum anode generates AI (OH), which encapsulates the released copper and flows through the protected system with seawater. It has high viscosity and will scatter and enter areas where marine organisms are likely to inhabit. In addition, the aluminum electrode system electrolyzes in natural seawater. As a cathode, an insoluble hydroxide coating is generated on the surface of the white iron plate, which hinders the diffusion of oxygen, increases concentration polarization, and slows down the corrosion rate. This can achieve both anti fouling and anti-corrosion purposes simultaneously. In the process of electrolyzing seawater, due to the overpotential of chlorine at the anode and hydrogen at the cathode, as well as the increase in seawater specific impedance and side reactions, the effective salt content changes. Additionally, due to impurities in seawater, the actual power consumption is several times higher than theoretical. Therefore, when designing a practical device, the basic principle is to minimize power consumption as much as possible, while also considering the precipitation of Mg (OH) 2 and the impact of stray currents.
