Titanium anode for copper recovery from etching solution
Etching is an important process in the production of printed circuit boards. As etching progresses, the concentration of copper ions in the etching solution continuously increases. When it reaches 150g/L, the etching solution will lose its activity. Due to the large amount of copper contained in waste etching solution, it can be recycled. There are generally two processes: the first is to add additives for extraction recovery, and the second is to directly recover. The first method of extraction recovery is briefly described: waste etching solution - extraction of copper - H2SO4 reverse extraction - electrolytic recovery of copper. The advantages of using titanium anodes for copper recovery from etching solution include: ① high current density and high electrolysis efficiency; ② Low groove pressure, good energy-saving effect; ③ Corrosion resistance and long service life; ④ Non polluting, reusable substrate; ⑤ The electrode plate is lightweight and easy to operate.
In the production process of printed circuit boards, etching technology is used to remove unnecessary parts attached to the copper foil board, forming circuit graphics. The etching solution generates a large amount of copper rich etching wastewater during the etching process. This technical solution involves reasonable extraction and separation of copper, so that the etching waste liquid can recover its etching function due to the decrease in copper concentration and form a regeneration solution for recycling. The separated copper ions are then electrolyzed into high-purity electrolytic copper plates through an electrolysis system, achieving high economic benefits. The entire process adopts a closed-loop system, without secondary pollution, achieving zero emissions of pollutants, convenient and simple operation, and low maintenance costs.

The first step, extraction regeneration, is to utilize the physical mass transfer characteristics of the extractant. By mixing and stirring the extractant and waste etching solution, copper ions in the waste etching solution are extracted into the organic phase, and the reaction is:

2. High purity electrolytic copper

The second step is to convert copper ions in the acid into elemental copper. By using etching solution recovery copper equipment, the waste etching solution is recycled for copper regeneration, and the regenerated etching solution can be recycled for use; At the same time, 100% recovery of copper ions from waste etching solution and ammonia washing water is carried out to reduce them to high-purity electrolytic copper.
