    Process for producing electrolytic copper foil

     

     

    At present, roller cathode and insoluble anode are used to produce electrolytic copper foil by continuous method.

     

    1, electrolytic copper. Electrolytic copper or wire return material of the same purity is used as raw material, dissolved in a solution containing copper sulfate, electrolysis is carried out in an electrolytic cell with an insoluble material as anode and a cathode roll with a constant speed rotation at the bottom immersed in the copper sulfate electrolyte as cathode. Copper in the solution is deposited on the surface of the cathode roll to form a copper foil. The thickness of the copper foil is controlled by the cathode current density and the rotation speed of the cathode roll. After the copper foil is transferred out of the liquid surface with the roller, it is continuously peeled from the cathode roller, washed, dried and rolled to produce the original foil.

     

    2, electrochemical reaction as the main process. The process is carried out in three stages: the first stage is to maintain the coarse layer of the dendritic crystal structure composed of copper and copper oxide. A second brass or zinc layer is used as a barrier. In the process of producing printed circuits, the copper foil with a barrier layer can ensure that there is no substrate pollution such as particle migration. In the third stage, in order to prevent oxidation during handling, storage or lamination, the surface of the copper foil is galvanized, nickel, tin and other metals or alloys as an anti-oxidation coating.

    3, that is, cut packaging. As some of the cutting and packaging equipment comes with control devices, we do not consider it here. In this way, the entire production process can be divided into four parts: electrolytic copper, surface copper, 10 air conditioning units, and 300,000 air conditioning units.

     

    Electrolytic copper foil production method in the copper dissolution process:

     

    1, principle: The treated copper material is added to the copper dissolving tank, the greater the surface area of the copper material, the better, There should be small gaps between the copper materials, which can increase the reaction area. After adding a certain amount of pure water and sulfuric acid, the compressed air is used to oxidize and combine to produce copper sulfate solution. The chemical formula is 2Cu+2H2SO4+O2=2CuSO4+2H2O. The reaction belongs to solid-liquid, solid-gas and liquid-gas multiphase reactions. The reaction speed is related to the total surface area of the copper material in the tank, the greater the surface area, the faster the reaction speed. Secondly, it is related to the air volume, and the reaction speed is also accelerated as the air volume increases.
