一、 There are many reasons for the increase in impedance, mainly as follows:

1. The anodic oxidation reaction will thicken and passivate the oxide layer with the passage of time;

2. Because the titanium plate in contact with the bus bar has a virtual contact or the surface of the titanium plate is passivated at high temperature;

3. The content of conductive medium in the plating solution is reduced;

4. The anode breaks down, and the bonding force between the platinum layer and the substrate is destroyed;

5. Poor contact between rectifier power supply and bus bar.

When the impedance of the plating tank increases, the tank voltage will also increase. When the tank voltage exceeds 10V, the current should not be increased, but the current should be adjusted appropriately, such as: the current is lowered by 10%, and the plating time is extended by 10%.

 

二、the method of improving the conductivity of the electroplating auxiliary anode

1. Remove the anode and keep it from dehydration (that is, do not dry it), put it in 5% hydrochloric acid, soak for 2 hours or longer according to the actual situation, clean the surface of the anode with a soft brush, and be careful not to scratch the surface of the anode layer. Most of the oxides will be cleaned away. If the effect is not satisfactory, repeat the above steps. After basic cleaning, rinse with tap water repeatedly, and finally rinse with deionized water to ensure that it does not contain fluoride ions before reuse.

2. Observe whether there is a breakdown phenomenon (coating peeling phenomenon) on both sides of the anode. If the surface is severely corroded, the anode cannot be used again. If one side is good and the other side is slightly corroded, the good side can be turned over for use, polished and copper bar Remove the passivation layer of the titanium plate in contact, increase the concentration of the plating solution appropriately, and check whether the contact points of the power supply line are in good contact.

3. If it is inconvenient to handle by yourself, you can contact the anode manufacturer to return and repair the coating to save material costs;

4. After the anode is out of use, wash it with deionized water and take out the plating tank, and store it in a deionized water (or pure water) tank separately to prevent drying and help protect the service life of the platinum-coated titanium electrode.
