    Cerium tungsten electrode is a tungsten electrode product made by adding rare earth cerium oxide to the tungsten base through the processes of powder metallurgy and calendering, grinding and polishing. The product is characterized by excellent arc starting performance under low current conditions and small arc current. Therefore, it is often used in the welding of pipes, stainless steel products and small precision parts. Cerium tungsten electrode is the preferred substitute for thorium tungsten electrode under low current DC condition or electrode diameter below 2.0mm.

    Production method and application of cerium tungsten electrode

     

     

    In terms of production process, the production steps of cerium tungsten materials include: adding cerium salt solution to tungsten trioxide, drying and burning, and then putting it into a hydrogen tubular furnace for two-stage reduction, pressing the obtained tungsten cerium powder into green strips, pre sintering in a hydrogen molybdenum wire furnace, and then electrifying and high-temperature sintering under the protection of hydrogen to obtain metal tungsten cerium green strips.
