Except for hydrogen fluoride, sulfur trioxide, hydrofluoric acid, hot concentrated sulfuric acid and alkali, it can resist the corrosion of all organic and inorganic acids, so it can be used as a corrosion-resistant material in the chemical industry and medicine. Carbides of tantalum are important additives in the manufacture of cemented carbides. In addition, tantalum is also used in some electronic tubes. In 1958, Ta-10W alloy was put into production. In the 1960s, tantalum alloys were used in the aerospace industry as high-temperature structural materials.
