Why molybdenum alloy ?
Molybdenum alloy is a non-ferrous alloy formed by adding other elements to molybdenum matrix. The main alloying elements are titanium, zirconium, hafnium, tungsten and rare earth elements. Titanium, zirconium and hafnium can not only strengthen the solution of molybdenum alloy, maintain the low temperature plasticity of the alloy, but also form a stable and dispersed carbide phase, and improve the strength and recrystallization temperature of the alloy. Molybdenum alloys have good thermal and electrical conductivity and low coefficient of expansion, high strength at high temperatures (1100 ~ 1650°C), and are easier to process than tungsten.
