Titanium 15-3-3-3 alloy is a metastable β - type titanium alloy with a nominal composition of Ti-15V-3O-3Sn-3Al, containing eutectic β - stable element V, eutectoid β - stable element Cr, Sn, and AI. This alloy has excellent cold rolling and cold forming functions, with a cold rolling deformation of over 90%. It can form moderately messy sheet metal parts at room temperature, and can also undergo super plastic forming at temperatures above 700 ℃, as well as cold heading rivets and bolts. This alloy can also achieve a strength of over 1080 MPa through aging treatment and has excellent welding performance.
Titanium 15-3-3-3 alloy is primarily used for the production of various sheet metal components, as well as fasteners, which can meet the requirements of high structural efficiency, high production power, and low production cost. The operating temperature for solution treatment is below 200 ℃, and the operating temperature for solution aging can reach 290 ℃. The semi-finished products of Titanium 15-3-3-3 alloy mainly include thin plates, strips, and rods (wires), and can also be used to produce pipes.

Solution Treatment:The solution treatment temperature is selected within the range of 760-815°C or 790-815°C. The general solution treatment principle is 800℃±15℃, 3-30min, air cooling or faster cooling.
Aging Temperature is 480-675°C, and the aging time is 2-24h. According to the strength grade, 3 aging principles are generally selected, and the temperature fluctuation range is ±6°C.
Are there any special requirements when smelting Titanium 15-3-3-3?
The ingots used to make thin plates and rods (wires) should be melted in a vacuum consumable electrode arc furnace more than twice. Use 0-1 grade sponge titanium with an oxygen mass fraction of no more than 0.07%, high-quality 85V-15AI core alloy with an oxygen mass fraction of no more than 0.25%, 80Sn-20Ti core alloy, and metal chromium with a low oxygen mass fraction.
Special attention should be paid to the distribution of electrode blocks to ensure the uniform distribution of various alloy elements. The welding of consumable electrodes adopts argon-protected plasma welding method, and tungsten-arc argon welding is strictly prohibited.
The absolute pressure of Titanium 15-3-3-3 alloy during the first melting should not be higher than 1.3Pa, and the last remelting can be carried out in vacuum or argon atmosphere.
