Titanium anode is the anode of titanium based metal oxide coating. The role of metal oxide coating is: low resistivity, good conductivity (poor conductivity of titanium itself), stable chemical composition of noble metal coating, stable crystal structure, stable electrode size, good corrosion resistance, long life, good electrocatalytic performance, which is conducive to reducing the over-potential of oxygen and chlorine evolution reaction and saving electric energy. Therefore, it is particularly important to protect the coating on the anode surface during the use of the anode.
Use and maintenance of titanium anode
1. After the completion of acid pickling, the anode substrate should wear clean gloves to block the two ends or edges of the anode in the process of processing or using, try not to touch the coating part, and protect the coating surface from any pollution or foreign matter scratch. If it is scratched or damaged, the anode will first corrode from the damaged part during electrolysis, thus affecting the service effect of the whole anode.
2. The electrolyte should be stable, especially it should not contain hydrogen ions and fluorine ions, otherwise it will seriously corrode the titanium matrix.
3. Before the electrolyte enters the electrolytic cell, a filter device shall be added, and it shall not contain metal particles larger than 0.1mm, so as to avoid the short circuit between the anode and cathode due to excessive accumulation.
4. The cathode attachment shall not be too thick to avoid short circuit and breakdown of cathode and anode due to too small pole spacing or sharp metal formation.
5. Reasonably adjust the distance between the cathode and anode, which is generally 5 to 25mm.
6. Try to avoid using the guide electrode, which is easy to cause the coating to fall off and affect the service life.
7. During shutdown, try not to immerse in solution in power-off mode, and add a small current protection cathode plate of about 5A.
8. When pickling or washing the surface of the electrode plate, pay attention to protect the surface and do not use sharp objects to wash it.
9. When the electrolyte is working, the temperature should not be too high, and the reasonable temperature is 25-40 ℃.
10. Pay attention to the current density during operation and keep it within 2000A per square meter. If the current is too large, it will cause intense reaction and affect the service life of the electrode.
11. When starting the machine to load current to the electrolytic cell, be sure to step by step, and do not add it to the position at one time. Pay attention when stopping the machine.
12. Keep the electrode surface clean and free from oil or other attachments, so as not to affect the electrolytic effect and service life.
